Explaining inventions for the Science Museum
The Science Museum: Engineers Gallery
The idea
The Science Museum asked Tinmouse to create a series of engaging films for their new Engineers Gallery. These 60-second exhibition animations aimed to unpack the stories behind the winning inventions of the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, and captivate young audiences with a fast-paced blend of infographics, real-world imagery, and dynamic text.
How we made it stand out
To ensure viewers could easily follow along, we used clear chapter headings. This was especially important for those joining mid-watch, allowing them to quickly grasp what they were seeing on screen. Prioritising a visual narrative, the script relied on short, impactful sentences without voiceover, making the film accessible in any environment. Finally, the colour scheme mirrored the exhibit's centrepiece sculpture, tying everything together visually.
