Teaching students about UK Parliament
UK Parliament Education
The idea
To create a short film aimed at primary school pupils to educate them on what the House of Lords is. This film was one of four animated education videos aimed at both primary and secondary school pupils. As part of the UK Parliament’s education programme, these films were designed to help pupils understand what the House of Commons and the House of Lords are.
How we made it stand out
We created two films for each age group, ensuring the video content would be relevant, engaging and understandable for all students. For the primary school pupils, we introduced a colourful cast of animated characters that helped to tell the story in a way that was more fitting and relatable to a younger audience. For the secondary school pupils, we took a more graphic style. Using a mixed media approach, we added photographic imagery enabling the students to better relate complex concepts with what they already knew.
